Porlammin Meijeri is an independent company owned by its own milk producers. Today it is the oldest cheese maker still operating in southern Finland. Porlammin Meijeri was founded in 1914, is owned by 10 milk producers and the cooperative employs more than 20 people.

Tradition and great taste bring also together our employees.That is why we constantly invest in product development. Our aim is to offer new flavours and ideas that make a difference to the customers of both cheese counters and restaurants.

Porlammin Meijeri sells its products to the retail- and HoReCa- sector as well as to the food industry. Emmental cheese has been a part of the assortment since the beginning in 1914, and has become the crown jewel of Porlammin Meijeri

As a flexible cheese maker we produce not only our own products, but also specialities that are customised to the needs and wants of our clients. In 2016 Porlammin Meijeri introduced among others a new line of totally milk free Finnish vegan cheeses.These have been growing rapidly since then and are now well established in the Finnish market We welcome you the world of great cheeses

WE INTRODUCE NOVELTIES CONSTANTLY!

We are best known among cheese friends for our deliciously strong tasted black label Emmental cheese, which has been matured for at least 9 months. The black label Emmental can be bought as piece, sliced or grated, as processed piece or as spreadable. There is also a light version with only 15% fat in it. Something for everyone!

We have listened to our customers, who have been longing for the new flavours. At the same time we have fulfilled the wishes for healthy and nutricious ingredients.
All new VegePlusvegan cheeses contain important nutrients and vitamins, such as B12- and D-vitamines, calcium and protein.

You can use the VegePlus- vegan cheeses such as they are on sandwiches, grated or as cubes in stewes and soups, as topping on pizza, in salads as cubes, or why not as new trendy products on your cheese plate! The VegePLUS-vegan cheeses are suitable for vegans, vegetarians and for all of us wanting vegetarian alternatives to our daily menu!

In 2016 Porlammin Meijeri introduced a new line
of totally milk free Finnish vegan cheeses,
VegePlus! They are used just like normal cheeses
but contain no milk or other ingredients of
animal origin.


You might not even notice the difference from a
normal cheese in terms of taste, texture and
behaviour when using VegePlus.


As a result of customer wishes Vege Plus –
vegan cheeses contain important nutrients
such as protein, calcium, B12- and Dvitamines.
